I really believe that. Not just for the ultralight thru-hikers with dialed-in kits and spreadsheets — for the person who's never spent a night in a tent, the family loading up the car for their first campground weekend, the friend who wants to come along but isn't sure they're "outdoorsy" enough. Nobody is born knowing this stuff. Somewhere along the way, someone made it feel welcoming instead of intimidating for me. That's what I want this to be for you.

My first trips were a mess. I carried too much, packed it in the wrong order, and learned most of what I know the slow way — by getting it wrong and trying again. Every trip taught me something, but I kept wishing there was one simple place that just told me what mattered: what to bring, what to leave, how heavy was too heavy, and why any of it made a difference. I couldn't find it, so I started building it.

Revamped Outdoors Co. is an outdoor-skills company founded in 2026 by Forge, based in South Carolina. It's the toolkit I wish I'd had when I started — your gear closet, a pack-weight calculator, packing lists, trail-food ideas, a trip log, and plain-English guides, all in one place. Whether you're chasing a lighter backpacking base weight or just trying to get the family out to a campground without forgetting the tent poles, it's built to meet you where you are and grow with you as you go.

You don't need the newest gear, a big budget, or years of experience to belong out here. You just need to start. I'll help you pack.

Restore. Explore. Belong. Those three words are the whole heart of this. I believe the outdoors is where families reconnect, where healing happens, and where you can feel, sometimes for the first time in a long time, that you're loved exactly as you are, no matter your past or your scars. Nature doesn't check your resume at the trailhead. It's the great equalizer, and I believe God cultivated it as part of our home, a place made for learning, healing, and growing.

In all honesty, I wasn't always an outdoors person. So much of my life happens inside a box. My phone, my computer (I work remotely), our house. It's easy to let whole seasons pass that way. But the outdoors has become one of the best places I've found to heal and to actually be present. No screens, no notifications, just real air and real time with the people I love. That's what changed me, and that's what I want for you.

We're starting small, and that's on purpose. The dream is bigger, and we're building toward it steadily. What I can tell you is this: everything we do will be focused on truly opening the outdoors to everyone. Not just the experienced, not just the well-equipped. Everyone.
